MAS to provide customized, 24-hour monitoring system for Security Broadband's product line
AUSTIN, Texas (June 25, 2001) -- Security Broadband Corp. today announced a partnership with Monitoring Automation Systems (MAS), a supplier of sophisticated computer systems to the world's leading providers of commercial and residential monitoring services. Security Broadband and MAS will work together to customize MAS’ monitoring and business systems software with additional features to complement Security Broadband's distinctive residential security product, which features two-way audio and real time video verification.
In addition to the use of MAS’ software applications, Security Broadband will take advantage of MAS consulting services and equipment to support and supplement its existing monitoring and business processes. Specifically, Security Broadband's alarm monitoring and the company’s billing and service management will be driven by the MAS MasterMind™ software application. Using client-server technology, MasterMind uses integrated databases which, when combined with Security Broadband's audio and video capability, will enable the company to provide exceptionally fast and accurate alarm response, in addition to robust customer service features.

In addition, Security Broadband intends to utilize MAS’ MobileMind™ hand-held computer system, which is designed to automate communication between field service technicians and a central processing center, will support the installation and services performed by Security Broadband. MobileMind will help Security Broadband by reducing the time to complete a job and improving customer service by increasing the effectiveness of the service technicians.
